Singapore Art Week
Exhibition feature and programme highlight.

Ieo Gek Ching (b. 1989, Singapore) is a Singaporean artist whose practice explores the interconnectedness of animals, nature and the environment through intricately constructed hybrid forms.
She graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fine Arts. Inspired by the distinctive characteristics and idiosyncrasies of different animal species, Ieo combines selected features into imagined creatures that reflect both the diversity and fragility of the natural world.
Recognised for her meticulous line work, textured surfaces and distinctive visual language, she uses art to express her concern for ecological balance and humanity’s relationship with the environment.
